General Motors of Canada, the corporation and their men and women, hourly and salaried alike. Unifor Local 222, their membership, men and women alike, Ministry of Finance, Region of Durham employees, City of Oshawa, municipal employees. You get the idea.

This United Way is privileged and grateful for the support from many hundreds of organizations and groups all across this Region. They, acting in concert, are critical components of an effort which helps to enhance this communities present and future for all of our citizens. There can be no doubt that these are hectic times, our hours at work are stretched thinner, our multiple demands at home are ever present, however, our volunteers and campaign leaders throughout our region find the time to help those less fortunate than they may be. They affirm the most basic component of decency and civilization. They give structure to community, and by their actions inspire others. We are grateful to them all.
